High-Level Herblore potions recently came out on October 7th. What this means is that once you hit 85 Herblore you get the ability to make Super-Antifire potions (Super Prayer at level 94), and at level 88 you get the chance to make Extreme-Potions up to level 96, including the Overload potion, which is a potion giving you the added bonuses of all the RuneScape Extreme Potions.
These potions add bigger bonuses to your already level of which ever skill; Attack, Strength, Defense, Magic, and Ranging. While the Super Prayer and Super Antifire give you better points and protection. This update caused a lot of people to start complaining about the bonus, given that they don’t have the level of Herblore required to make the potions, (runescape gold)and what makes it even worse is that, these potions are untradeable! Those of us who have trained Herblore, know that its one of the most expensive skills on RuneScape.
If its not the cost of herbs, its the cost of added ingredients. If you are on the poorer side of RuneScape, you are forced to search for the added ingredients or the herbs, which range from a few gold pieces, up to 3k or more for one herb. Not only is Herblore expensive, but many people do not train it, simply because most of the potions you need are sold in the Grand Exchange. You can easily get your hands on prayer potions, and it is much cheaper to buy the potion than make it, or get the level to make it.
